Diptychs and Triptychs
A diptych is two photographs combined to make one and a triptych is three photographs combined into one. The two or three photographs should have something in common, whether that be the subject or location. I chose to go to Lewis and Clark College in Southwest Portland, OR to take my photographs for this assignment. The college campus has some of the most outstanding buildings and is a beautiful place to shoot.

Shapes Shapes Shapes.....
The three techniques which I used when shooting these photographs was: asymmetrical, meaning that it is not symmetrically balanced if you cut the picture in half. I also used radial balance which means that everything in the image is drawn in together to the center and lastly I used symmetry, which means that the photo is balanced. Some of the shapes are geometrical meaning that they have some sort of pattern, for example windows. There are also pictures of organic shape, which means that there is not a name for that specific shape. Enjoy!

Just Grab The Camera and Run!
I am not sure if it is like this for everyone after they take on photography, but sometimes you see things at random and wish you had your camera on you! I have been toting mine around, and although I don't find it to be most convenient I also get some pretty interesting shots that I like to mess with on my computer. Here are some of my latest. Take a look.

Every day Grid!
This is a grid, which I made in a computer program called lightroom. I chose twenty of my favorite photographs from random things in my daily life and put them all together. The photographs range from my sisters little hands to a chair that my mom had growing up, which is from the 70's. Some of the things are more meaningful than others, but together they make up the things that I see every day.

Timeless Moment
This photo is absolutely one of my favorite pictures. It was taken by photographer Alfred Eisenaedt after the announcement that World War Two was finally over. It is still unknown who these people are. But supposedly what happened is the sailor grabbed the nurse and randomly gave her a big smooch. It was also reported that after it happened, she smacked him.
