One of the first assignments we did in my digital design and photography class was our framing assignment. This assignment was done at the Portland Farmers Market in the SW Park blocks. Below are three of my favorite photos that I had taken. Reasons being: color, depth of field, and texture.
The photo above was one of my favorites, because it looks like the photo has texture and I loved the yellow sunflower in the background, which I thought made the white flower pop out and look like it was coming towards the viewer.
This is another fun photo. The technique here was filling the frame. This is a photo has great lighting, which makes the texture look smooth. It also showed contrast and really emphasized the multiple shades of green.
This photo, I might consider my favorite out of all the ones I took for this assignment. The technique I used was birds eye view, but if would have zoomed out another technique could be leading lines. I love lines on photographs and the grey color makes the object, which just so happened to be a bench look like it has been weathered and warn. I also liked how the space around the bench plays the role of a frame.
